About Spalding Lincolnshire.
Historic Ayscoughfee Hall sits beside the River Welland in Churchgate, Spalding. Admission is free to the hall, museum and gardens. The Museum
has a Land Drainage Gallery showing how the land of South Holland has been changed
over a period of 2000 years through drainage and reclamation.
A photographic portrayal
of the history and development of South Holland life, as well as a display telling
the story of the Hall from the mid 15th century to the present day.
The Matthew
Flinders display tells of the locally born explorer.
The library is furnished
to represent a 19th Century gentlemans library, and the Geest Gallery houses an
ever changing display of art and photographs.

Just outside Spalding is The Pinchbeck Engine at Pinchbeck Marsh, Spalding. It's an original beam engine restored to working condition. The engine house has a Land Drainage Exhibition. Opening times, 10am - 4pm April to October. Other times by arrangement. Admission: Free.
Springfields
Gardens and shopping complex, Camelgate, Spalding. 01775 724843. Access within the gardens for disabled
persons is excellent, and there are many seats at regular intervals to rest those
weary feet, and gaze upon the colourful flower displays.
The purpose built exhibition
and conference facilities are available for use all year round, and there is a
large grassed arena which may be used for shows and caravan rallies etc.
