The 2010 Spalding Flower Parade
will take place on Saturday 1 May when the theme will be Screen Heroes.
The Parade will start from Springfields Arena around 2pm and make its way through the streets of Spalding to the town centre.
It will consist of traditional decorated flower floats, marching bands, musical trailers, plus many other entries followed by the Carnival Finale.
Parade Route
The Parade will form and leave Springfields Events Centre Arena around 2pm on Saturday 1 May 2010.
It will then follow it’s usual route down Holbeach Road, Queens Road and Halmer Gate. Last year it turned right into Church Street but in 2010 we are reverting back to the route of previous years and carrying straight on down Love Lane then right on to Church Gate. Then left over the bridge and into the Market Place and Hall Place. It will then leave Hall Place and turn right onto New Road. From here, it will carry on to Westlode Street and then turn left into the Westlode Street car park where it will finish.
The floats will remain on display during Saturday evening and Sunday for public viewing. In addition to the floats there will be fairground rides, an ice rink, slides, musical entertainment plus a bar and refreshments.
